As manufactures go on their journey of digital transformation and start to extract insights from their industrial data to improve quality, reduce downtime and increase equipment utilisation. The manufacturing data lake is central to providing the capability for manufacturers to perform analytics, build machine learning models and implement AI.
This workshop has been designed to show how you can build a manufacturing data and ingest data into it from industrial devices within a factory . Then use the manufacturing data lake to interrogate and analysis the data to provide reporting which the business can use to visualise their factory.
In starting the workshop a virtual factory will be deployed within the AWS Cloud to provide industrial device simulation. The workshop has two logical sections to it, the first section of the workshop will walk you through connecting to a production line PLC and ingesting the data via an industrial gateway running IoT Greengrass into the data lake. The second section will walk you through building a manufacturing data lake using Lake Formation for the factory data and then visualising that data in QuickSight.
